Claude Montana while head of the House of Lanvin did a beautiful melding of his sharp geometric shapes blended with the feminity that was a true signature of Lanvin. He starts selecting a black woven moire accented with gold metallic thread, and lines it with a sumptuous silk crepe. He then shapes it into a traditional off the shoulder feminine hourglass outline, but then he overlays it with a geometric skirt using the triangles at the hips as pockets and narrowing the hem making it almost appear like origami. Montana always creates with beautiful geometric shapes that al have a decidedly organic shape, always creating interestingly beautiful works of art.
